Elizabeth graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1976 and was admitted to practice in 1980. Elizabeth has worked in private practice exclusively in Family Law since 1989.

Elizabeth is an Accredited Family Law Specialist, and received a commendation for excellence in the 1997 Accreditation exam.

Elizabeth has served on the Council of the Family Law Practitioners' Association, was editor of the FLPA magazine for two years and is a past convener of the Law Reform sub committee.

Elizabeth is a founding member, and is President of, Collaborative Professionals Western Australia.

Rhonda Griffiths

Rhonda was admitted to practice in 1976. Before she joined DCH in 1996 she was a partner for 12 years in another major Perth Family Law firm, worked as a consultant to the West Australian Law Reform Commission, with the Legal Aid Commission and the Aboriginal Legal Service.

Rhonda is a past president of Women Lawyers Association of W.A. and served on the Family Law Practitioners' Association Council and has served on the Council of the Law Society of Western Australia.

Michael Holden - Consultant

Michael Holden was appointed a Judge of the Family Court of Western Australia in 1991 and appointed the Chief Judge of the Family Court of Western Australia in 1996. He served as Chief Judge until 8 February 2007 and joined DCH as a consultant in January 2008.

Michael's extensive experience, both as a private practitioner and as the Chief Judge of the Family Court of WA, makes him perfectly suited to high level opinion work and early neutral evaluation (ENE).

Alice Mortimer - Senior Associate

Alice Mortimer was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales on 1 October 1986. Alice practiced family law in England until emigrating to Australia in 2001. Alice was a member of The Solicitor's Family Law Association (an association of specialist family lawyers) and was appointed to the England and Wales Law Society Children Panel.

Alice has practiced as family lawyer both in Queensland and in Western Australia. As far as she is concerned it is definitely a case of "west is best". In her spare time she likes nothing better than either heading off camping in the remote areas of our state or scuba diving on Ningaloo reef.

Celeste Saxon - Senior Associate

Celeste graduated from the Murdoch University law graduate programme in 1999, after having completed a year at the University of London as a law student, studying externally. Celeste also worked part-time at a Citizens Advice Bureau in London for 2 years.

Celeste spent two years doing her articles with DCH Legal Group so as to allow her to juggle a legal career with the need to care for two young children. Celeste was admitted to the Supreme Court in 2001.

Celeste also holds a Diploma in Personnel Management, received in 1992 from the West Australian Department of Training.

Celeste is very often the first port of call within DCH Legal Group as she responds to generalist initial enquiries and does a great deal of one off family law advice. She is very interested in collaborative lawyering and has attended two sessions of collaborative law, holding the advanced certificate. She is part of the collaborative law pod that meets regularly in Perth.

Celeste also has done pro bono advice for Womens Legal Referral Services run by Ms Di Annear.

Outside work and her family, Celeste enjoys swimming and cycling and especially the cycles to DCH Legal Group twice a week.

Max Beckerling - Senior Associate

Max was born in South Africa. He immigrated to Australia in 1989 and matriculated from Hollywood Senior High. He graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 majoring in History and Politics and with a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University in 2000. Max spent 2001 in Hong Kong practising in commercial and class action litigation.

He was admitted to practise in the Supreme of Western Australia in 2002 and has specialised in Family Law since 2003. Max practises in all areas of Family Law including property, children's matters, child support and Wills. Max has appeared as counsel in trials before the Family Court and regularly appears as counsel in Restraining Order proceedings. Max is married and has two children. He spends his "free time" swimming, running and cycling and aims to one day do them all one after the other in a triathlon.

Joe Russo - Consultant

Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Australia in 1972.

He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1974 and obtained employment in general practice.

Joe later became a founding partner of a law firm which grew to a number of partners and employed solicitors with a total staff of some 50 people. The firm undertook work in all areas of law, including high profile criminal cases, Royal Commissions, civil cases and commercial and securities work for major banks and finance companies.

Joe practiced in many areas of law, including criminal, civil and securities work, but with a substantial part of his practice in family law. He was a member of the Protest and Disputes Board for a number of years with the Perth Amateur and Social Soccer Association and was on the Board of Citizen Advocacy for disabled people, for the South-East Metropolian Branch.

Joe joined the Army Reserve and graduated as an infantry officer and subsequently served as an instructor in an officer cadet training unit and later as an Intelligence Officer.

Since 1995 Joe has been practising as a consultant exclusively in the area of family law.

Joe is married with three children and enjoys spending time with his family.

Daniel Loreck - Solicitor

Daniel graduated from Murdoch Law School in 2004 and was admitted to practice in December 2005. Daniel completed his articles and restricted practice year in the public sector. He has appeared as counsel in criminal trials, mental health reviews and restraining order trials.

From September 2006 to March 2008 he worked exclusively in the family violence field specializing in restraining order litigation.

Daniel joined DCH Legal Group in April 2008. He accepts instructions in child related matters and restraining orders.

Prior to coming to the law Daniel studied literature, piano and music technology. His hobbies include writing music and encouraging people to buy his demo cds.

Carolyn White - Office Manager

Carolyn has worked in the Family Law industry since leaving school in numerous administrative roles, including word processing, secretarial, IT and conveyancing. She has worked with some of the partners at DCH Legal Group, in between family commitments, for 24 years.

Carolyn returned to DCH Legal Group on a full time basis 11 years ago, initially supervising the word processing section and implementing the change from Word Perfect to Word with new Family Law precedents. In 2004 she commenced studying for a Diploma in Conveyancing. After two years of studying Carolyn joined a BNI charter and successfully marketed DCH Legal Group as a settlement agency, building it up to a full time practice. Her Diploma will be completed at the end of 2008.

Carolyn now holds the position of Office Manager and manages all administrative staff and IT requirements for DCH Legal Group. She also oversees the conveyancing side of the settlement of all Family Law matters, obtaining the file after final orders have been made and seeing the file through to finalization.

In 2007 Carolyn applied to be a Justice of the Peace, and having passed through all the stages of acceptance, she is undertaking required studies which will be completed in June 2008. Outside of her commitment to DCH Legal Group, Carolyn has a family of three and has been heavily involved in dancing and sporting activities throughout their childhood years. She has acted as Registrar of the Morley Eagles Junior Baseball Club for the past seven years and Registrar/Secretary for the past 12 months and has been on the committee of the Western Australian Baseball Scorers and Statistician Association (Inc) for the past two years and as Treasurer for past year. Carolyn's goal is to score baseball at an Olympic level!
